How To Stop Making Wobbly Lines On Drawing Tablet

UPDATE: This tutorial is outdated. Information technology is nevertheless relevant for people who run windows 7. Nigh Wacom/Photoshop related conflicts under windows 10 are caused by Windows Ink interference or past having Press and agree enabled on Right-click (disable this nether Pen and Impact>Pen options)

- Follow this guide if you desire to have Photoshop translate your Wacom's imput without Ink: andyp123.blogspot.nl/2016/06/yard…
- The latest version of Photoshop has a smoothing option, so you no longer need Lazi Nezumi unless you desire a more than advanced smoothing tool.

Quondam guide beneath:

I've spend a few days reinstalling my pc (virtually time went into sorting trough and backing upwards my files). When I was ready to become back to piece of work I noticed that my lines in Photoshop looked horrible. As if they were build from smaller connecting straight lines rather than one smooth curve. Since everything worked fine before all my hard work, I knew something was up.

This isn't the first fourth dimension I've had this issue either, and with some asking around I found out that:
1: A lot of people have this problem (some, I learned, don't even know they accept it; One of my friends idea he was only that bad at cartoon lines)
two: There'southward a (near) perfect fix for this:

In that location's and so many fellow Wacom+Photoshop users out at that place, and the ready for this issue isn't all that like shooting fish in a barrel to observe. And then I decided to share it here. I promise someone will have use of it! :D

_________________How to fix_____________________

Start off: Are yous a windows+Photoshop+wacom(Cintiq and Intuos) user?
If yeah, go along to read.
If not, this fix is probably not for you (although, that means yous probably don't have this exact consequence either).

:bulletblue:Pace ane: Unplug your wacom device!

:bulletblue:Footstep two: Uninstall your current Wacom drivers, and any tablet drivers that windows might have installed.
Be very thorough. Remove all files named wintab from your System32 folder. Remove any Wacom folders from your Program directories (both of them if you lot run 64 bit).
(If y'all don't know how to do this, or want detailed information on how to practice this properly read this: www.yjstudios.com/blog/2014/05… )

:bulletblue:Step 3: Reboot your system.

:bulletblue:Stride 4: Download and install Wacom driver 63.six
(There's more versions of 63.vi out in that location, I went with 636-three. For more info, again: www.yjstudios.com/weblog/2014/05… )

:bulletblue:Step 5: Only then - not any sooner - plug your wacom back in once more.

Bask your smoothen lines! :D

Annotation: Why is this fix -about- perfect and non entirely perfect? Well, as mentioned in the yjstudios web log to which I linked, the 63.six driver tin have that nasty blotching effect. My experience confirms this, although it'southward pretty rare.
And so information technology's up to you, always take jagged looking lines, or occasionally having to printing ctrl+z considering a blotch happened. It was an piece of cake choice for me XD.

:bulletgreen:Hither'south some more than wacom optimisation tips, for those who experience lag with their Wacoms:

Q: Does this set up piece of work on a mac?
I suppose it could work, and I don't think downgrading the commuter to effort can do much harm. However, I haven't tested this so I can't  say with certainty that information technology will work.

Q: Does this work for Bamboo tablets?
I've merely seen this verbal problem reported for cintiqs and intuos tablets (bold that's considering they use the aforementioned driver family unit).
I recommend doing some standard troubleshooting before reinstalling (check settings, reboot your pc and so on), but if it's a persistent event:
reinstalling wacom drivers and experimenting with diverse versions seem to amend near of this type of tablet problems, so I think in the very least it'southward worth a shot.

Tip: Still not satisfied with your lines? Here's a plugin that might assistance yous with brushstroke smoothing:  lazynezumi.com/
